Smart home care for ageing parents

Independence for Them. Peace of Mind for You.

Croft uses non-camera sensors to notice changes in your loved one's usual routine, so you can check in when something may need attention. And when you want to connect, calls, messages and video chats all live on one simple screen.

“We’re fine, love. Stop fussing.”

Mum laughs it off, but she’s slower on the stairs than she was.

If she fell while I’m at work, how long before anyone knew?

There is another way

They want to keep their independence. You want to know they’re safe.

Too many families only find that balance after something goes wrong. Croft uses non-camera sensors, with nothing for them to wear or learn, and can alert the people you nominate when activity may need attention.

The Croft system

One system, built around their life

A Croft system uses non-camera sensors to notice activity and changes around the home, alongside a simple video-calling screen. It is designed to support independent living for older people, with nothing to wear. Every system is shaped around the person and their home, and arrives pre-configured.

We've built it around three things that matter most.

Safety

Safe, day and night

When a sensor notices something that may need attention, the people you nominate receive an alert.

  • Sensors can flag activity that may indicate a fall, without anything to wear or press
  • Connected smoke and carbon monoxide alarms can notify the people you nominate
  • You choose which family members, friends or neighbours receive each type of alert

Wellbeing

Looked after, every day

Croft can flag changes in everyday routines, so you know when it may be worth checking in.

  • A change from the usual daily rhythm can be flagged for a nominated contact
  • Water leaks are caught before they turn into real damage
  • Appliances and the cooker are flagged if they are ever left on

Connectivity

Connected, the simple way

Every way of keeping in touch lives in one easy place, so staying close never means wrestling with technology.

  • Phone calls, video calls and text messages all come together on one simple tablet
  • Starting a call or replying takes a single tap, with no menus, passwords or confusion
  • Everyone keeps using their normal apps, so family change nothing while your loved one gets an easier way in

Questions & answers

Questions we get asked the most

Not at all. Croft is designed to protect your parent’s privacy, not watch them. There is no camera recording or saved footage, and no listening in. Routine and motion signals are processed inside the home, and only the alerts you choose are sent to the people you nominate.
Start with what matters to your parent: staying independent, keeping familiar routines and deciding who receives alerts. Explain that monitoring uses non-camera sensors, needs nothing to be worn or pressed, and can be paused whenever they want privacy. If they are not comfortable, do not switch it on until their concerns have been answered.
Monitoring works automatically, with nothing to wear or press. For calls and messages, the tablet keeps the controls simple and in one place, so your parent only uses the parts they want.
You choose which types of change should trigger an alert and which nominated people receive each one. Croft is designed to flag activity that may need attention, rather than report every movement in the home.
The system arrives pre-configured and tested. You place each device in the agreed location, plug it in and switch it on using the room-specific instructions included with your setup.

Privacy is part of how Croft is designed. Routine monitoring stays inside the home, and you control which alerts leave it.

  • No cameras for monitoring

Indoor monitoring uses non-camera sensors. The tablet camera is only for video calls and may use local motion sensing to wake the screen. It never records, saves or streams video, and it is not used to monitor the home.

  • No recording or listening in

Croft does not record or listen to conversations. Calls stay between the people taking part.

  • Activity is processed at home

Routine and motion signals are processed locally. Only the alerts you choose are sent to the people you nominate.

  • Pause it any time

Your parent can switch monitoring off whenever they like. Their home, their rules.
